NC holding CWEC meeting today

To select candidates of metropolises and sub metropolises



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress is holding a meeting of its Central Work Execution Committee (CWEC) to dwell on the selection of candidates for the upcoming local level elections.

The meeting will be held at the central party office in Sanepa at 2 pm, informed Krishna Prasad Paudel, the chief secretary of the central party office of the NC.

According to Paudel, the meeting will select the candidates for Metropolitan and Sub Metropolitan Cities.

The NC has got the seats of mayors of Kathmandu, Lalitpur, and Biratnagar metropolises and deputy mayors of Birgunj, Bharatpur, and Pokhara metropolises.

As per the seats allocated for Sub Metropolitan Cities, NC will take mayoral posts of Dharan, Itahari, Kalaiya, Butwal, Tulsipur, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi and deputy mayoral posts of Jitpur-Simara, Ghorahi, and Hetauda sub metropolises.
