KATHMANDU: There is possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in some places due to partial to normal change in the weather in hilly terrain of the country due to the influence of western low pressure system.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of partial to normal cloud cover in the hilly terrain and thundershowers and light rain in some places in the hilly terrain of Gandaki. It will generally clear in other parts of the country.

There is also a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places of hilly terrain of Province No. 1 with partial to moderate change in the weather in the hilly terrain of the country tonight.

The Department has requested all to take necessary precaution as there is a possibility of thunder and lightning in one or two places of hilly terrain and to avoid the effect of heat due to rising temperature across the country.

According to the latest details of the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in Kathmandu Valley today is 14.6 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature is 29.3 degrees Celsius. Similarly, the lowest temperature is of Jumla at 4.1 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature of Nepalgunj at 37.0 degrees Celsius.
