Nepal import petroleum products worth Rs 200 billion in seven months



KATHMANDU: Nepal has imported petroleum products worth Rs. 200 billion in the first seven months of the current fiscal year.

According to the seven-month international trade data released by the Customs Department on Tuesday, petroleum products worth Rs 182.23 billion were imported from the Indian Oil Corporation during the period. That is Rs 82 billion more than the review period last year.

Petrol worth Rs 33.56 billion, diesel worth Rs 72 billion, cooking gas worth Rs 34.69 billion and aviation fuel worth Rs 6.40 billion were imported in the first seven months of the current fiscal year. During the review period last year, petrol worth Rs 15.96 billion, diesel worth Rs 39.70 billion, cooking gas worth Rs 17.26 billion and aviation fuel worth Rs 1.76 billion were imported.
