KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly-elected senior member of the House of Representatives, Pashupati Shumsher Rana on Wednesday.
Rana, who became a proportional Member of Parliament from Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), was sworn in at President’s Office, Sheetal Niwas.
Before the election of the Speaker, the senior member presiding over the House of Representatives should administer the oath to the other Members of the Parliament.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Rana will administer the oath to the newly elected parliamentarians at the parliament building in New Baneswor on Thursday at 1 pm.
