Madhav Kumar Nepal leads in Rautahat-1



KATHMANDU: Unified Socialist Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal, a candidate to House of Representatives (HoR) from Rautahat constituency no. 1, is leading in the vote count.

As per the latest vote count update, Nepal, who is representing the ruling coalition in the November 20 election, garnered 1,475 votes out of the 2,826 votes counted so far.

Similarly, his closest rival has been CPN (UML)’s Ajay Kumar Gupta who received 1,231 votes.

Likewise, 119 votes were canceled while other candidates got 11 votes, according to the Office of the Returning Officer in Rautahat.

Altogether 17 candidates, including nine independent ones, have contested the HoR election from constituency no. 1 in Rautahat district.
