Vote Count: NC leading in 38 constituencies; UML 25
Counting of votes is underway throughout the country.
In the initial vote count of the election held on Sunday, Nepali Congress (NC) has taken the lead followed by CPN-UML so far.
NC is leading in 38 election constituencies followed by UML, which is leading in 25 constituencies.
Likewise, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is in the third position with nine leads.
RSP candidates leading in Kathmandu 2, 6, 7, 8
In three of the five constituencies of Kathmandu, candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party have taken the lead.
The candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party are leading in Kathmandu Constituencies 2, 6, 7 and 8.
NC President Deuba widens margin in Dadeldhura
Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba is still taking a lead in the vote count in Dadeldhura.
According to District Election Office sources, NC candidate Deuba got 1404 votes followed by independent candidate Sagar Dhakal, who has received 730 votes.
Standing Commissioner from South Korea calls on CEC Thapaliya
Visiting Standing Commissioner from the South Korea, Kang Seong-Bae, paid a courtesy call on Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya.
The Standing Commissioner of South Korea has been here for observing the elections to the Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) and Provincial Assembly.
Rastriya Swatantra Party third in PR vote count
Nepali Congress (NC) has taken the lead in the proportional vote count in the election to the House of Representatives.
Nepali Congress has received 9,706 votes so far. Likewise, CPN-UML has got 8,666 votes, and Rabi Lamichhane’s Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is in the third place with 6,413 votes. The Maoist Center has received 3,300 votes and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is in the fifth place with 3 287 votes.
