Japan’s State Minister Shunshuke meets CEC Thapaliya



KATHMANDU: Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs pays courtesy call on CEC Thapaliya.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Takei Shunsuke, paid a courtesy call on Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya at the Election Commission here today.

The Japanese State Minister is currently in Nepal. He arrived here on November 20 in connection with observing the elections to the House of Representatives and Province Assembly.

On the occasion, they held discussions on matters of bilateral cooperation and relations. State Minister Takei appreciated the process of the HoR and Province Assembly Member elections held on November 20 while Chief Election Commissioner Thapaliya thanked the Japanese delegation for observing the election.

Commission’s Secretary Gokarna Mani Duwadi, Joint Secretaries and Ambassador Japan to Nepal, Kikuta Yutaka were also present in the meeting.
