NC widens initial lead in Mustang, UML chasing behind



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has widened its lead in Mustang.

As 3,779 votes were counted, NC candidate Yogesh Gauchan Thakali garnered 2,035 votes while UML candidate Prem Prasad Tulachan received 1,657 votes.

Similarly, Rastriya Swotantra Party candidate Sudesh Gurung has received 41 votes.

The number of invalid votes stands at 40.

The counting of votes, which started at 3:45 am on Monday, is now continuing in two locations.

Out of the total 39 polling stations in Mustang, counting of votes of 19 polling stations has been completed so far.
