Vote count underway across country



KATHMANDU: Counting of votes of the twin elections held Sunday have begun since last night in many constituencies across the country.

The Election Commission has put the voters’ turnover at 61 percent.

In many parts of the country, collection of ballot boxes took place before yesterday midnight and vote count was started after holding an all-party meeting.

Among many areas, counting of votes have begun in constituency-2 of Bhaktapur, constituency 7 of Kathmandu, constituency 2 of Lalitpur, constituency 3 of Lalitpur, constituency 2 of Jhapa, among others.

Meanwhile, in many parts of the country, vote count is to begin since this morning.
