Three die in Kapan fire
Three people died in a fire in Kapan, Kathmandu on Wednesday evening.
Dineshraj Mainali, Superintendent of Police, Kathmandu, informed that three people died in a fire in a house in Kapan at 7:55 pm on Wednesday.
The police said that a gas cylinder in the house burst into flames.
No one can go beyond the Constitution: Vice President Pun
Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has raised serious concern over the latest move of President Bidya Devi Bhandari. Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, Vice President Pun said every individual, whatever role they have been assigned as per the Constitution, has to abide by the constitutional provisions.
Kathmandu Metropolis bans outdoor advertising
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City issued a notice banning outdoor advertising in Kathmandu citing that it is making the capital city ugly.
The KMC issued a notice today saying that it’s attention has been drawn towards the use of outdoor advertising through hoarding/digital boards and other means without acquiring permission and even after the expiry of the licensed period.
European Parliament delegation arriving Kathmandu Thursday
A delegation of the European Parliament (EP), will arrive in Kathmandu for a two-day visit on Thursday.
The visit will contribute to further strengthening relations between the EU and Nepal and exploring ways of stepping up cooperation in the days ahead, a statement issued by the European Commission in Nepal said.
Govt should control dengue: UML
The CPN-UML has urged the government to prevent and control dengue that is taking its toll across the country.
Stating that the infection is becoming serious, the UML said the government must contain it.

Ruling parties lashed out at President Bidya Devi Bhandari for what they said “unconstitutional move” as she declined to authenticate the Citizenship Bill sent to her by the Federal Parliament for certification.
In a strong-worded joint statement issued after a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday, the ruling parties came down heavily criticizing President Bhandari for “violating” the Constitution.
