Nepal sees 286 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 286 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Of the confirmed cases, 202 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 84 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,423 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,816 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,607 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 4,348 active cases in the country as 479 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,992 to date.
