Indian national held with 1 kg gold from TIA

KATHMANDU: Police on Saturday arrested an Indian national with 1 kg gold from Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday.

The arrested has been identified as Rahul Ramana, 31, who came to Kathmandu from Dubai on a Fly Dubai flight. His passport number is V1122890.

Police getting suspicion of Ramana had conducted an X-ray on him in Kathmandu Medical College (KMC).

He was apprehended after X-ray showed the gold inside his stomach.

Police said that further investigation into the case was underway.
