NEPSE loses 7.72 points to close at 2,060.55 points on Sunday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index plunged by 7.72 points to close at 2,060.55 points on Sunday, the first trading day of this week.

The index lost 0.37 percent today (Sunday) after gaining 27.72 points last Thursday.

The index that opened at 2,070.06 points made an intraday high of 2,089.25, an intraday low of 2,055.78, and ultimately settled at 2,060.55 points.

A total of 5,339,004 shares of 218 companies traded hands via 43,455 transactions, resulting in daily turnover of Rs 2.04 billion. Last Thursday’s turnover was Rs. 2.05 billion.

Ridi Power Company Limited was the top stock by turnover whereas Api Power Company Limited traded the most.

Likewise, Mandakini Hydropower Limited became the top gainer today hitting the highest 10 percent positive circuit for the day and River Falls Power Limited became the top lose, shedding 5.19 percent today.

Only four sector indices closed green, “Hotels And Tourism” gained the highest 1.06 percent while “Trading” lost the highest 1.93 percent.
