Will contest elections for the last time: Jhalanath Khanal

"Love with people still intact"



BHAIRAHAWA: Unified Socialist and former Prime Minister Jhalnath Khanal has said that he would contest the election to the House of Representatives for the last time.

Khanal said that he would contest from Ilam Constituency-1 as a common candidate of the ruling coalition.

Speaking to journalists at the Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa on Sunday morning, Khanal said that he will contest the elections to be held on November 20.

Asked whether he was vying to become the President, Khanal said, “My love with the people is still intact. Therefore, I will contest the election for the last time.”

Former PM Khanal also said that the five-party ruling coalition will continue until the elections.
