Unified Socialist calls Politburo and Central Committee meeting

KATHMANDU: The Unified Socialist has called the meetings of the party’s Politburo and Central Committee in Kathmandu on June 24 and 25.

Central Publicity Department member Kritu Bhandari shared that the meeting will review the local level elections as well as the program to be implemented across the country to make the party’s candidate victorious in the upcoming House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections.

The contemporary situation of the country will also be discussed. The Politburo meeting will also discuss the issue of maintaining the ruling alliance till the next election and of the issue of the party contesting in the election on its own strength.

The party leadership is currently under pressure as some of the leaders are pressuring Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal to call back four ministers of the party and send new faces in the Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba-led cabinet.
