NC calls CWC meeting on Friday



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has called a meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) on Friday to decide candidates for the local level election.

NC party office Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel said the meeting would be held at the party’s central office in Sanepa on Friday at 2 pm.

The party has asked CWC office bearers and members to compulsorily attend the meeting.

The NC previously decided to finalize the candidates for the metropolis and sub-metropolis from the CWC.

The ruling coalition has already agreed on the distribution of mayors and deputy mayors in the metropolises and sub-metropolises.

The NC is fielding candidates for the post of mayor of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Biratnagar metropolises and for the post of deputy mayor of Pokhara, Birgunj and Bharatpur.
