Death toll from explosion at Patan Industrial Estate reaches two



KATHMANDU: The death toll from a blast at an oxygen plant in Lalitpur’s Patan Industrial Estate has climbed to two.

According to Spokesperson of the Metropolitan Police Range, Lalitpur, Siddhi Bikram Shah, the death toll has risen to two after another person died at Patan Hospital at around 1:45 pm Thursday. One person had died shortly after the incident.

The explosion took place at around 10 am this morning at Sagarmatha Oxygen Plant. Six persons were injured in the incident.

Police are investigating the cause of the explosion at Patan Industrial Area-based oxygen plant.
