KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has recommended five names for the mayoral candidate of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
The party’s Metropolitan Committee recommended the names of five individuals, including Sirjana Singh, spouse of NC leader Prakash Man Singh, to the Bagmati Provincial Committee.
The meeting has recommended the names of Nilkaji Shakya, Sirjana Singh, Hari Prabha Khadgi Shrestha, Susan Vaidha and Pragatiman Ranjit.
The ruling coalition has already decided to give the post of Kathmandu mayor to NC and deputy mayor to the Unified Socialist Party.
