UML, LSP to forge electoral alliance in Birgunj

BIRGUNJ: The CPN-UML and Loktantrik Samajwadi Party (LSP) have agreed to make an electoral alliance in Birgunj.

While the UML will get the post of Mayor, the post of deputy mayor will go to Loktantrik Samajwadi Party.

UML’s Vijay Kumar Sarawagi will be the candidate for the post of mayor in Birgunj in the May 13 local election.

Sarawagi, who is the incumbent mayor of Birgunj, had recently joined the CPN-UML.

The two parties will forge an electoral alliance at the ward level as well.
