KATHMANDU: Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is coming on a three-day visit to Nepal today at the invitation of Health and Population Minister Birodh Khatiwada.
During the visit, Dr. Tedros will be accompanied by the Regional Director of WHO South East Asia Regional Office Dr. Poonam Khetrapal Singh, and other officials of the WHO, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On this occasion, Dr. Tedros will call on President Bidya Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, and Chairperson of National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina.
The visiting Director-General will also meet Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Narayan Khadka and Health Minister Khatiwada, the foreign ministry said.
