State 1 prepares for 9th National Games



BIRATNAGAR: The state government has started preparations for the Ninth National Games to be held in Pokhara.

Minister for Social Development Rajan Rai informed that the province government would prioritize necessary preparations for the games to be held from June 5 to 11.

A meeting of the Province 1 Sports Board held at the Ministry in Biratnagar has decided to prioritize the sports that have the potential to bring medals.

The meeting has decided to hold the CM Cup Invitational Football Tournament at a favorable time.

The board meeting has decided to request for cooperation with partner organizations and business establishments for the development of sports sector.

It has also been decided to demand budget by making an action plan for the sports sector from the current year’s budget.
