NMA schedules election for new leadership in June



KATHMANDU: An election for a new working committee of the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) has been scheduled to take place on June 10-11.

The 71st central committee meeting of the NMA held Sunday finalized the date for its general convention.

As said by its general secretary Kul Bahadur Gurung, a three-member election commission has been formed in accordance with the NMA statute to hold the election. The commission comprises advocate Dr Gokul Burlakoti as election officer and advocates Dr Ram Sharan Thapaliya and Dhanedra Raj Shrestha as members.

Likewise, preparations for its 31at AGM to be held on March 23 have been completed.
