China’s Foreign Minister to visit Nepal on March 25



KATHMANDU: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is visiting Nepal on March 25.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Yi will arrive in Nepal on Friday, March 25.

While in Kathmandu, he will meet President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli and CPN- Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

On Saturday, he will hold bilateral talks with his counterpart Narayan Khadka.

He will return from Nepal on Sunday.

According to sources, the implementation of China’s Belt and Road Concept (BRI) implementation plan is likely to be signed during the visit, but it has not been finalized yet.

His visit comes soon after Nepal’s parliament ratified the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Nepal Compact.
