T20 World Cup Qualifier: Nepal bowling after losing the toss against Canada



KATHMANDU: Nepal is bowling against Canada after losing the toss in the ongoing T20 World Cup Global Qualifiers in Oman.

Nepal has taken five Canadian wickets till the seventh over. Canada has scored 41 for 5 in seven overs.

Nepal has changed one player in today’s game. Fast bowler Kamal Singh Airee has been included in the team by allowing Gulsan Jha to rest.

Nepal has the opportunity to play in the semi-finals as the winner by beating Canada and remaining at the top of Group B.

If Nepal wins, Group A runners-up UAE and runners-up Group A winners Ireland will compete in the semifinals.

Ireland have reached the semifinals by defeating Germany by 7 wickets in Monday’s match.

Meanwhile, UAE lost their last match to Bahrain by 2 runs.

The two teams that reach the final by winning the semi-finals will play in the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in October-November.
