One killed as ambulance hits scooter in Sunsari



SUNSARI: One person has died after being hit by an ambulance in Bhokraha Narasimha Rural Municipality-4 of Sunsari district.

The deceased has been identified as Nirmala Uraun, 30, of Inaruwa-5, said Narendra Kumar Karki, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office.

An ambulance (Province 2-01-001J0028) heading east from the west hit a scooter (Province 01-02-041 Pa 2155) on Sunday evening.

She succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Inaruwa.

She was working as an office assistant at Bhokraha Narasimha Health Post in Bhokraha Narasimha village.

Ambulance driver Sunil Kumar Mehta, 27, of Saptari Bishanpur-5 has been arrested, police said.
