NC postpones 16 district conventions



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has again postponed the district conventions of 16 districts.

The convention was scheduled to be held on January 29.

Issuing a press release on Friday, NC’s Central Election Committee informed that it decided to postpone the district convention till further notice.

The election committee cited the increasing number of coronavirus cases as the cause for the postponement of the district conventions.

16 districts including Sindhuli, Makwanpur, Sindhupalchowk, Chitwan, Nawalpur, Banke, Kailali and Achham are still to organize the district convention of the party.

Earlier, NC held 61 district conventions under the 14th General Convention.
