52 percent votes cast in Lalitpur district till 3:00 pm

KATHMANDU: 52 percent votes has been cast in Lalitpur district till 3 pm in today’s voting for the House of Representatives and State Assembly elections.

“By 3 pm, 52 percent voting has been cast in all the 290 polling stations”, Chief District Officer Jayanarayan Acharya said.

“We expect more than 60 percent voting by the scheduled time.”

According to him, voting has started again in one polling station where it had been halted.

Voting was stopped due to a dispute after the fast-past-the-post votes were dropped into the ballot box set aside for proportional representative (PR) votes and PR votes were dropped into the ballot box set aside for fast-past-the-post votes, at the polling station located at Ward Office Building Harisidhi of Lalitpur Sub Metropolitan Ward No. 28.
