KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index declined by 1.38 points to close at 1,844.14 points on Thursday.
The index, which has been bearish throughout the week, fell marginally on the last trading day of the week. However, the Sensitive Index closed green today with the index increasing by 0.09 points.
A total of 1,546,857 units of shares of 221 companies traded via 17,296 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs 507 million.
Sayapatri Hydropower Limited was the top gainer today with its stock price going up by 9.97 percent.
Century Debenture 2088 was the top loser with its stock price declining by 7.73 percent.
Only three sector indices namely Trading, Development Bank and Investment closed green while the rest closed red.
