POKHARA: – The Ninth National Games, which was conducted in eight different districts of Gandaki province, is scheduled to conclude today (Thursday).
According to the National Sports Council, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will participate in the grand closing ceremony to be held at Pokhara Stadium at 2:30 pm on Thursday.
Earlier, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun inaugurated the National Games on October 14.
Gandaki has made preparations for various cultural programs, tableaux, songs, music and dance to make the closing ceremony a grand event of the year.
Prior to the closing ceremony, two departmental teams Nepal Army Club and Armed Police Force will contest for the gold medal for football today.
38 games including two exhibitions were held under the 9th National Games organized in Gandaki province.
To make the closing ceremony grand Pokhara Metropolis has granted a special holiday on Thursday.
