Coalition leaders hold meeting on seat allocation



KATHMANDU: After submitting the closed list of proportional representation (PR) at the Election Commission for the November 20 elections, the ruling coalition is engaged in a discussion to finalize the allocation of seats toward the first-past-the-post election system.

Leaders of the ruling parties have intensified discussions on the seat sharing.

The meeting being held at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar is attended by the members of the task force led by Nepali Congress leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula.

The parties have formed an 11-members task force to suggest the top leaders of the five political parties.
