NC President Deuba appoints Chitra Lekha as party Chief Whip



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) parliamentary party leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed Chitralekha Yadav as the Chief Whip of the NC party and Min Bishwakarma as the Whip.

Deuba appointed them on Wednesday, NC source said.

Earlier, Bal Krishna Khand was the chief whip of the Nepali Congress.

The post was vacant after Khand was appointed as Home Minister a year ago.

Likewise, the post of party Whip was vacant after NC whip Pushpa Bhusal was elected as Deputy Speaker last week.

Chitralekha is also the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives.
