Two arrested for illegal use of other companies’ trademark in water jars



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two persons for illegal use of trademarks of other companies in the drinking water jars they were selling.

The arrested have been identified as Ashish Karki of Lalbandi, Sarlahi, and Kiran Shrestha of Ratnanagar, Chitwan. They were found selling water jars using trademarks of other companies.

Police seized two vehicles and 197 quantity of water jars from the arrested.

Police said that they were arrested on the basis of information that they were selling water with trademark of another company along the Kalanki road section of Kathmandu.

The arrested persons and the seized goods have been sent to the Department of Commerce, Supplies and Consumer Protection for necessary investigation and further action, police said.
