Diversion on Bensishahar-Chame constructed allowing passage of traffic

BESISAHAR: A diversion has been constructed following obstruction in the Bensishahar-Chame road by a landslide, allowing the passage of stuck vehicles, said the Dumre Bensishahar Chame road project office, Lamjung.

The diversion leads through Bensishahar, Bajhakhet and Khudi. An alternative route has been constructed as the road has been obstructed by a rain-caused landslide at Kharkhare of Bensishahar Municipality-6, said engineer Purushottam Adhikari, the project office information officer.

“It was not possible to remove debris immediately. So the alternative route was being constructed. An excavator is leveling the newly constructed road,” he said.

However, debris caused by a landslide at Belauti Bisana, Khudi of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality and Bhulbhule along the road were cleared, he said.
