NEPSE downtrend continues Friday, stock market falls by 15.82 points



KATHMANDU: The downtrend in the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index continued on Friday. The stock market fell by 15.82 points today.

NEPSE declined to 2235.09 points on the first trading Friday in Nepal.

A total of 253,248,268 shares of 223 securities and bonds were traded at a total value of Rs 932.26 million today.

The market had dropped by 23.51 points to 2250.91 points on the previous day as well. On the same day, 219 securities and bonds had a turnover of Rs 1.30 billion.

Today, the prices of 51 types of securities and bonds have gone up while 149 have gone down.

Of the 13 subgroups traded, all except the mutual fund were negative. Mutual funds had a nominal increase of 0.46 percent.

Arun Kabeli Power has the highest turnover of Rs 32.45 million today followed by Himalayan Distillery Rs 28.46 million, and Shangrila Development Bank Limited promoter share had a turnover of Rs 27.61.
