Nagarik Unmukti Party secures victory in Bhajani Municipality



KAILALI: Nagarik Unmukti Party’s candidates have won the posts of mayor and deputy mayor in Bhajani Municipality in Kailali district.

Kebal Lal Chaudhary and Raju Tiruwa won the election as mayor and deputy mayor, respectively. Chaudhary secured the post with 7,475 votes by defeating Maoist Centre’s Sher Bahadur Chaudhary, who got 3,871 votes.

Likewise, Tiruwa was elected by getting 6,225 votes.

Nagarik Unmukti Party also won election in three wards in Bhajani while parties in the alliance won four and two others by CPN (UML).
