UML asks lower levels to implement party’s decision on forging electoral alliance

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML, the main opposition party, has directed all party ranks and files, to implement party’s decision on forging electoral alliance with three parties.

A letter sent to the district in-charges and chairpersons by General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel on Wednesday has asked them to cooperate with RPP-Nepal, Pariwar Dal and Rastriya Janamorcha’s Central Coordinating Council.

UML had decided to coordinate with Kamal Thapa-led RPP-Nepal and Eknath Dhakal-led Parivar Dal in the local elections to be held on May 13.

Likewise, the party has also urged the party cadres to cooperate with the Janamorcha which rebelled against Chitra Bahadur KC.

General Secretary Pokhrel has urged the state and district committees to implement the agreement.
