Coronavirus cases declining daily: Nepal witnesses 262 new cases in 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 62 new cases



KATHMANDU: Recording a continuous decline of the coronavirus cases, the country witnessed a total of 262 new COVID-19 related cases and four deaths in the past 24 hours as of Sunday. Nepal recorded 350 new coronavirus cases and four deaths on Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 229 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 33 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 80 cases in Kathmandu, 1 in Bhaktapur and 12 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 93 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, four coronavirus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,921 to date.

Currently, there are 12,244 active cases in the country as 1,338 infected patients recovered.
