NC preparing to postpone convention of 16 districts due to COVID

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) is making preparations to adjourn the convention of 16 districts yet again.

Election Committee Coordinator Gopal Krishna Ghimire said the NC is preparing to postpone the convention of 16 districts including the eight districts of Madhesh Pradesh due to the increasing cases of COVID-19.

The convention has been scheduled for January 29.

The convention of 16 districts had not been held before the 14th General Convention of the NC.

The district conventions are yet to be held in Kailali, Banke, Achham, Nawalparasi East, Chitwan, Sindhupalchowk, Makwanpur, Sindhuli, Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Mahottari, Dhanusha, Siraha and Saptari.
