Maoist Centre to initiate govt formation process after swearing-in ceremony



KATHMANDU: The Maoist Centre has decided to participate in the government formation process only after the House of Representatives (HoR) members are sworn in.

The Maoist Centre came to the conclusion that it would be wise to initiate the government formation process only after the lawmakers were administered the oath of office.

Maoist Centre’s leader Janardan Sharma said the leaders put their views to opt for the government formation process after the lawmakers are sworn in.

He further said power-sharing of the key posts of the state would be done later based on the discussions among the coalition parties.

During Sunday’s meeting, Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ shared with the party leaders about the ongoing talks on the issues of government formation and others.

Dahal is learned to have shared about power-sharing on the basis of consensus.

Similarly, leader Sharma said that this time the Maoist Centre has claimed the leadership of coalition government.
