Staffers reach all polling stations in Bhojpur



BHOJPUR: Staffers have reached with election materials in all the polling stations in Bhojpur for the general elections taking place on Sunday.

Chief Returning Officer of Bhojpur Mani Ram Neupane said the ballot boxes and other materials required for the election have been sent to the respective polling stations.

A team of staff and security personnel have reached all 157 polling stations of the 87 polling centres in the district.

A total of 1,246 government employees including school teachers have been deployed for the election with more than 2,300 security personnel including temporary police, Nepal Police, Armed Police and Nepali Army have been mobilized in the district for the elections.

Chief District Officer of Bhojpur, Hariprasad Ghimire, said that security personnel have been mobilized with all required preparations for election security.

Bhojpur has one constituency for the House of Representatives and two constituencies for the Provincial Assembly.

There are 123,379 voters including 59,253 women and 64,125 men.

Altogether 12 candidates representing various political parties and independent are in the fray for the lone seat of the House of Representatives representing Bhojpur while seven compete for the provincial assembly (1) seat and six for provincial assembly (2).
