Nepal sees 48 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 48 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 42 were detected through the RT-PCR method and six through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 1,783 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

As many as 819 samples were tested through RT-PCR method and 964 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 728 active cases in the country as 50 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,018 to date.
