Gothatar shooting victim dies



KATHMANDU: Lal Mohammad, who was seriously injured in a shootout that took place in Gothatar of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality-8, Kathmandu has died during treatment.

The 55-year-old was a resident of Hariwan Municipality-2 of Sarlahi and he was shot by a group of assailants this evening.

Mohammad, who was taken to TU Teaching Hospital Maharajganj after being shot in the head and thigh, died during treatment, District Police Range Kathmandu Spokesperson, Superintendent of Police Dineshraj Mainali said.

A team including Chief of District Police Range Kathmandu, SP Bharat Bahadur Bohara and Chief of Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office Janak Bhattarai has been deployed at the scene and to nab the shooters at large and investigate the incident.
