Nepal sees 623 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 623 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Of the confirmed cases, 246 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 377 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,945 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,621 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 3,324 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 5,024 active cases in the country as 487 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and with this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country has reached 11,990 to date.
