KATHMANDU: Nepali Army Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Prabhuram Sharma visited the Sector East Headquarters of the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL) Mission on Sunday.
During the visit, CoAS General Sharma also met with Brigadier General Ignacio Olajaba Alorz.
During the meeting, he was briefed on various aspects of the mission.
Sharma also inspected honor presented by a team of troops at the UNIFIL Mission.
He also laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument at the headquarters, which was built in honor of the Nepali peacekeepers who had sacrificed their lives for the cause of peace.
Similarly, Sharma also participated in the inauguration of Gorkha Green Park and tree planting program.
