Ruling coalition meet: Proposal made to convene all-party meeting to discuss SPP



KATHMANDU: A proposal has been made to convene an all-party meeting to discuss the United States’ State Partnership Program (SPP).

A proposal for all-party discussion was made during the meeting of the five-party alliance to discuss the SPP.

“We have made it clear that our party is not in favor of the SPP,” said Jhala Nath Khanal, a respected leader of the CPN Unified Socialist, after the coalition meeting. “There has been a proposal to discuss SPP in an all-party meeting,” he added.

According to him, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will take a decision on SPP, if necessary.
