Unified Socialist wins mayor, NC deputy-mayor in Ghodaghodi



KAILALI: The CPN (Unified Socialist) has won the mayoral post in Ghodaghodi municipality of Kailali.

Party candidate Khadka Rawat secured 13,128 votes to beat his nearest contender Mamata Prasad Chaudhary from the CPN (UML) to win the election.

Chaudhary obtained 8,241.

Likewise, Guliya Kumari Chaudhary of the Nepali Congress (NC) has emerged victorious on the post of deputy-mayor by gaining 12,270 against 6,963 by her nearest competitor Karun Bam Batala from the UML.

Kailali has 13 municipalities and results of eight local levels including the Ghodadghodhi have been already announced.
