Home Minister, Law Minister meet Maoist Center chair Dahal regarding citizenship bill

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Govinda Prasad Sharma Koirala, held meeting with chairperson of CPN (Maoist Center) and former prime minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ regarding the citizenship bill.

During the meeting held at Dahal residence in Khumaltar of Lalitpur this morning, they discussed on contemporary political issues, operation of federal parliament and different bills going to be presented by the government in the parliament, said Home Minister Khand’s Secretariat.

Discussion was also held on the matter of tabling the citizenship bill at the consensus of political parties in ongoing session of the House of Representatives.

Earlier, Home Minister Khand also held discussion with political parties time and again regarding the citizenship bill.

The government has been making preparation to table the citizenship bill at political parties’ consensus.

Home Minister Khand and Law Minister Sharma held meeting with Chair Dahal to forge consensus in this regard.
