Maoist Center wins in Mandan Deupur municipality



KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Tok Bahadur Tamang has won the mayoral post of Mandan Deupur municipality.

Tamang won the election with 9,406 votes while his closest rival CPN-UML’s Bidur Sapkota got 8,351 votes.

Similarly, Nepali Congress leader Bishnu Mani Nepal has been elected as the deputy mayor.

Nepal got 11,305 votes while his closest contender Sarita Dhakal polled 6,924 votes.
