KATHMANDU: A delegation comprising four senators from the upper house of the US Congress and one member from the Lower House is scheduled to visit Nepal.
A team of Democratic lawmakers is expected to arrive on Friday, a foreign ministry source said.
Senator Mark Kelly, along with other senators, Kristen Gillibrand, Cory Booker, Ed Markey, and Mondaire Jones are also visiting Nepal.
The team will also visit Poland, UAE, India and Germany.
The team is scheduled to discuss bilateral diplomatic relations and relations between the two countries’ parliaments, as well as hold meeting with high-level leaders, including the President and the Prime Minister.
