PM Deuba holding talks with NC Kaski leaders prior to coalition meeting



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting with the NC leaders including the President of Gandaki Province to discuss the local level elections.

President Deuba has called the President of Gandaki Province and Kaski District President of the Nepali Congress to Baluwatar for discussions at a time when NC leaders in Kaski have been suggesting that the NC should not hand over the Pokhara Metropolitan City to other parties.

NC Gandaki Province President Shukra Raj Sharma,  and Kaski District President Kishor Datta Baral among other leaders have been called to Baluwatar for discussion this morning, a Baluwatar source has said.

There has been a dispute on who will take over Pokhara Metropolitan City in the five-party alliance, especially between the CPN (Unified Socialist) and NC.

The ruling alliance is holding a meeting at 11:30 am. Prime Minister Deuba will hold the meeting with Kaski leaders before the coalition meeting.
